Sunday Worship: 9.30 am 'Exalt' (with tea/coffee following the service) every Sunday.  There are additional services starting at 10.45am (preceded by tea/coffee). For months with a 5th Sunday there will be Exalt at 9.30am and breakfast followed by pre-planned Community activities. Evening services at 6pm take a theme or book of the Bible.  Here preaching is more in depth, often with an opportunity for discussion.

'Celebrate' is a new quarterly, contemporary worship event following the 3 priorities of Passionate Worship, Intentional Faith Development, and Radical Hospitality.  'Celebrate' is held on a Saturday evening and is open to all.

Church Life

When locating Louth Methodist Church, the instructions are usually – "the Chapel opposite Laking's the butchers".  Situated on the fringe of the Town in Nichol Hill and Eastgate, close to Lakings Butchers, the internal rooms of the building have recently undergone a £300,000 makeover.

On arriving you will find an enormous set of buildings which have stood there in various forms since the early 19th century. However if you venture inside you will find a 21st century welcome to a host of activities for all ages.

Worship, of course, in a variety of styles - 'Exalt' for the young and young at heart at 9.30am followed by refreshments, 'Worship for All' at 10.45am preceded by refreshments, or a quiet 'Sunday Evening Service' at 6pm (sometimes with the music led by Louth Riverhead Silver Band).

During the week there is a group for every taste – Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Louth People's Orchestra, Lindsey Scribes, 3-2-1 for pre-school children and their carer/s, Louth Textile Group, Lincolnshire ROSPA, Ladies Group, Women's Fellowship, Table Tennis, Darby and Joan, Louth U3A, Keddington & Louth WI, Louth Riverhead Silver Band practice, and many more.  A number of uniformed organisations also meet here; Guides, 2 Brownies and 2 Rainbows groups, as well as Explorer Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. For further information about the uniformed organisations and pre-school groups meeting here, please look at the 'Children & Young People Groups' (C&YP Groups) flyer attached below.  On Wednesdays we are 'Open House' for drinks and light refreshments, a chance to chat, and a monthly stall selling all manner of goodies. To download a menu of refreshments available, please look below.  The Nichols Youth Project on the corner, is doing amazing work providing a drop in centre for young people, outreach work to local schools, as well as youth work in the wider locality.

Pastoral care is very important to us. We currently have 201 members and another 152 non members. A well organised pastoral role ensures that everyone has a pastoral visitor to share the ups and downs of life.

The worship area has been modernised to provide a comfortable multi-purpose hall.  Our church refurbishment, which started with the heating in May 2015, is now complete.  What an amazing result!  Come and see for yourself during our Church services or Open House.  Have a look at the new decor and view the variety of rooms available for hire.  Should it be for a display, party, concert, rehearsal, special occasion, business meeting, training event, meeting, or theatrical production, you will find comfortable, well-heated rooms with full kitchen facilities at your disposal.  We now can offer a range of room sizes and types for hire at competitive rates in the heart of the town of Louth.

A bookings form including price list is attached below for you to download.

Should you wish to view the facilities with regard to a possible booking, please contact the Bookings Secretary, Julia on 01507 354626/This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
