The Methodist Church has been here in Wainfleet for over 200 years, the present chapel being opened in 1902, the fourth to stand on this site. The people who make up the congregation are committed to serving the community in love and friendship. We are the southernmost Methodist Church in the Circuit! Situated just off the Market Place on St John's Street, our large chapel, which has been refurbished, can seat 150+ downstairs and our small chapel can seat 25-30. There is ample parking at the rear on the right, limited street parking at the front, and free parking in the Market Place a minute’s walk away.
Regular worship takes place in the small chapel (previously the "Parlour") where we have an active congregation. Special Services and Festivals are held in the large chapel. We use Hymns and Psalms, Mission Praise, and the NIV (Anglicised) Bible. There is an organ and a piano in both chapels, along with access to a Digital Hymnal. The small chapel has had a new sound system and there is a hearing loop fitted in both chapels. There is internet access at the church.

Our mission is to be more involved with the local community whilst still maintaining that the building is a working Church, complete with visible symbols of our faith on display. Various parts of the building are used during the week for fellowship meetings; such as Phoenix Group and the Girls’ Friendly Society. Friday coffee mornings with various stalls are held in the large chapel, and Parish Nursing is provided in the vestry. There are also community-based activities, such as an Art Class and various other local community group meetings
